RNIB logo

RNIB is the largest organisation working for blind and partially sighted people in the UK. It provides over 60 different services to visually impaired people, as well as working to influence policy makers and authorities. Its aim is to 'Challenge Blindness'. RNIB Scotland's Employment and Learning Services (ELS) provide a wide range of support to visually impaired people to facilitate their access to employment and training opportunities. ELS works closely with a wide range of key actors, such as employers, training institutions, trades unions and other voluntary and community groups to ensure access.

RNIB has substantial experience of developing and successfully implementing EU funded projects. Staff involved in these projects have found them rewarding and enlightening and have learned greatly from transnational collaboration. We have well defined policies and guidelines for project management and financial monitoring of such projects.

RNIB as an organisation is committed to collaboration with national and international partners to challenge the discrimination faced by blind and partially sighted people. RNIB also has a well established European Unit and Research Unit who will play active roles in the project. The project will be managed and implemented by RNIB Scotland.
